Fallout: New Vegas - NCR won't stop attacking me on the New Vegas strip. D: Help!?

I was in some Las Vegas radio place, and this chick told me there was nobody but NCR allowed past a certain point. Like a true idiot, I walked up to her to ask about it but she started shooting. D: They won't stop and everyone's running from me! Eek! I ran to talk to the Embassador Crocker guy (I think that's his name) but he is talking to me normally. ._. So.... what now? What can calm people the heck down?
