Looking for Romantic novel about an Indian man kidnapping a young woman.?

I read this book years ago, maybe in '95 or '96. I don't remember any character names unfortunately. Here's what I do know: Lead male was an Indian. Lead female was a young white woman. I believe he kidnapped her (can't remember why) and they rode horseback back to his people. One section was about her bathing in a river or a spring. They of course fall in love in the end. Have been trying to remember the title for weeks now, please help!!
