I want to start a sport but parents won't let me?

Well, you could start by stressing to your parents that this is really important to you. Bring it all out on the table. Stop asking casually. If you want results, you must have resolve. Tell them that their hurtful comments are difficult to hear and that your passion shouldn't be overlooked. They should be overjoyed that you are interested in a sport! Try asking what it would take to get their support. Try asking why a 13-year-old should have to plead with her parents to get them to cultivate their own child's interest! If money's a problem, ask your mom to skip a trip to the stylist and ask your dad to leave a six-pack at the store. Think outside the box. If you want it bad enough, you'll do what it takes to get it done.
