Can I use 1/2 cup oil instead of 2/3 cup oil for brownies?

I am making betty Crocker Fudge brownies, and I only have 1/2 cup oil. Can I just use that instead of 2/3 cup? If not, I could also add some olive oil...but that sounds nasty. What difference would it make using only 1/2 cup?
